People
...is an independent organization made up of volunteers living mostly in
the Plainfield area. Young and old, inexperienced or professional,
working in-front or behind the camera, we are striving to provide
interesting, informative, and entertaining programs in the public interest
for our community.
Most all of our programming will be recorded and
then edited, and broadcast on the Plainfield
community access channel 6. It will be shown on
a regular weekend schedule starting in October.
The Plainfield Television Group will be solely responsible for the content
our shows and the programs will only be aired on the local community
access television outlet.
With the help of a grant from the Village, we will be building a studio, of
sorts. We have assembled some old equipment, purchased a little new
equipment, are in the process designing and building a few sets. We
anticipate will be in great shape by fall. Our discussion programs will
originate from this studio.
Many in our community have agreed to be talent, and take part or host
one of our discussion, interview, visual-tours, or other programs. Others
are going to help behind the scene -- operating cameras and equipment,
producing programs, and writing scripts.
But we know there are many others in our community with something to
say – or something to show – and that easily could support a program.
Let us know, for our group is open to everyone. And, everyone has an
idea for a TV program.
